Summer Activities

---Watched Mareeze's ( women's soccer game) at J-Village---

I'm back and it's really great to be back at blogosphere!! Thanks to all who prayed for my MIL's speedy recovery and to all who left some messages and for dropping by even if I can't return all the visits. I always take full advantage during my kids summer vacation and made it worthwhile.
Summer activities means FUN to my kids but me and my husband tried to balance between play and study even when on a vacation. During their off from school, they were given an assignment to complete before the school resumes which is on Wednesday of next week. We let her read and do mathematics ( her assignments at school ) everyday but Wakaba I guess was so excited, she wanted to do them first thing in the morning and that she finished some of her project already so she can had a load of fun the whole summer vacation without worrying with undone assignments after lol! Even when we went at my PIL's home, she practiced reading and doing her math assignments everyday. Here are some of my kids summer activities that I bet they really had a good time ( and so am I! ) ^_^ ---Checking her assignments----
---Addition and subtraction cards; Wakaba is good on numbers ^_^---
---Summer treat together with Wakaba and Haruka's friends ( with a consent of their parents of course ) at the pool---
---Watched Pretty Cure All Star Show live---
---Went to Amusement Parks---
---Tanabata Matsuri---
---Went fishing together with my kids cousins and Grandfather--- ---Wakaba is attending swimming lesson, twice a week----
---Wakaba doing her project---
---Seeing Wakaba's drawing ( she's improving, too ) makes me feel a lot of emotions: proud, happy coz we are all smiling and is colourful---

And my gosh, I'm so excited to be back!!! ( my summer activities online has just begun lol! )\(^0^)/

My MIL Update

I left my husband to tend to my MIL's needs at the bukid of tralala since she just came home from the hospital after an operation for the 2nd time. She was seriously injured sometime in November of last year ( she almost lost her leg ) when a 73 years old woman crushed to their car when my MIL tried to help someone's car in trouble but caught in an accident instead. It took her several months in the hospital and had a hard time during her rehabilitation--we visited her at the hospital from time to time. We thought that she was into cure when she went out at the hospital 5 months after and although she cannot walk that much as before, we're very much thankful that she was okay but last month she had a high fever and the doctor decided to take off the 'plate and bolt' ( I don't know the specific medical word ) inside her fractured bone. The gain still remained a mystery...

Seeing my MIL with 85 stitches on her leg is such a pain for me most especially that the wound wasn't completely healed the time we visited her in the hospital. I asked her to call me when she needs my help and was happy after receiving a call from her last week and didn't think twice to go although I would be leaving my husband for a week and went with the kids coz they're are still off to school. My FIL picked us up minus husband coz he still have to work till Ubon holiday weekend and my two SIL and kids stayed a night with us, too.

Me and my FIL had a conversation when I was doing the dirty kitchen before going back to the apartment-- he thanked me for helping around... I prepared homemade obentou for him everyday. He changed a lot most especially the time my MIL was in the hospital. Being an old-fashioned Japanese who always depends to his wife ( and to me when we were living in with them before ) to run the household, his attitude changed a lot. He also felt sorry for me coz he knew all the way that we have plan of going somewhere during the kids summer vacation but because of his wife's condition it was cancelled. It's okay with me, there will be time for that I told him so with a smile..
It was tiring but it's all worth it. A simple ' THANK YOU ' is enough to know that I am important in the family. As of now, I'm praying for my MIL's good heath and recovery and another week to go to take advantage of Wakaba and Haruka's summer vacation.
Friends, thank you so much for your visits and for leaving your messages and comments. I'll be back again soon to your respective sites. I miss my blogging( kahit konti lang )/ bloghopping activities but I still have some things to do offline. Have a nice day and God bless!

PBW---NASU Flower World

Nasu is located at Tochigi Preferecture and is well-known for it's beautiful scenery and mountain resorts and is famous of being one of the tourist spots here in Japan. We went to NASU Flower World and was amazed by the beautiful landscape that delight us with blooms! I've been into flower gardens before but it's a first to experience such a wonderful view to enjoy. With an excellent weather, colourful sights to cherish, having great laughs while eating some frappes--we had an enjoyable day! I hate to say this but spending time with my family outdoor and the beautiful weather draws me away from blogosphere to take a lil short break till my kids are off from school. I'm taking FULL advantage of our summer together and am sure I'll be missing them again when class resumes.

---I don't have any idea of the flower's name but these beauty caught my attention---
---Having some walks around the flower garden---
---The landscape is impressive and pleasing to the eyes------Gorgeous blooms was waiting for us to see, touch and smell---
---Thank you for a very nice weather and the beauty of nature---
---Haruka chan is now 4, she's grown big already---
---They make my life the happiest and colourful---
---Enjoying frappes to beat the summer heat---

Food Trip Friday--Bibimbap Donburi

I was craving of a bibimbap and I thought of making some at home during lunch time using as donburi. A one meal bowl over rice and toppings on top. During lunch time at home, I prefer making donburi meals coz it's easy to prepare and my family loves it. I can make varieties of donburi meals and these bibimbap donburi is one of their favorite, not spicy but tasty coz my kids won't eat spicy ( so it's without the kimchii ) and I have to match with the toppings that they love like sansai ( wild veggies ) although some mix bean sprouts and or spinach over it. And oh, they also love the runny egg yolks and mix one gooey delicious meal ^_^

An entry for Food Trip Friday. Chibugan na!!\(^0^)/

Nostalgia-- Mini-Party

We had a very hectic schedule right after having our simple wedding reception in Japan with family and relatives and then next was attending again a mini-wedding party that was set by Yochan's co-workers in Fukushima City. The truth is we don't really like setting party for us coz we already had our wedding reception in the Philippines but it was their plan to set one for us--to congratulate us. They ordered a cake for us to cut and received a bouquet of flowers, both for me and Yochan and a cash money wrapped in an envelope. It was my first time to meet all of them and was kinda shy because of my poor niponggo but they did try to understand me and I do remember that I'm loaded with alcohol drinks coz I was too nervous facing them lol! Week after we also attended a party that was set by Yochan's friends at the bukid of tralala ( sad to say we didn't have photos of it ) and then we thought after attending all of those parties that was set to us, we rather had decided to set one big wedding reception for our family and friends. How thankful it was to be remembered by them and host a wedding party for us.

Isn't it so much fun to go back and just yank them all out and just sit there and reminisce? ^_^

PBW--Kindergarten Summer Festival

---Wakaba and Haruka, enjoying their summer vacation---

We went to a Natsu Matsuri ( mini-summer festival )at Haruka's school at kindergarten last weekend and had a load of fun just like of the last year . It was more fun for Wakaba coz she have met again her former classmates in kindergarten ( same school ) and stayed with them til the event was all over. It's hard to take photos of them coz they would ran away from me lol! Although it wasn't that crowded ( only invited people can join the event ) the atmosphere felt like a big festival coz there were tradition games like yo-yo tsukui ( water baloons ), wa nage, etc to be played by the kids and some booths, too. Last year, Haruka was afraid of the horror booth that we have to accompany her but now she went alone lol! My little girl is growing up fast, she's even wearing her big sissies summer yukata now that I thought 'twas big to her and that we bought a new one for Wakaba to wear this year. Gees, anybody help me for not letting them grow up that soon???
---Haruka, waiting in line to join for a game---
---Wakaba wearing her new summer yukata, love the color combination of black and pink flower and rabbit design------Mama, onechan wa? ( where's Ate? ), Haruka wanted to play together with her big sissy but Wakaba was busy goofing around with her former classmates------I prefer the 'yo-yo tsuri ' ( where you can catch balloons with paper and hook ) rather than 'kingyo tsukui' ( where you catch goldfish with paper nets ) coz the poor fishes will die in a couple of days---
--- Got her water balloon!!------Wakaba, listening to the guest performing with drums------Mom should have at least one photo ( again lol ) while hubby doesn't like to being photographed ( ibo-broadcast ko lang daw kasi dito lol)---
---Fireworks as one of the highlights of the event------Wakaba and her former classmates---
