Couple's Corner--Meet My Father-In-Law

Well, if you have memorized ( lol ) my life here in Japan, you might have read here atKizuna about my Father-In-Law who was against a Filipina to be a wife to his son and that's me^_^ After the acceptance, we had our wedding reception here in Japan to formally introduce me to the whole clan and relatives both their sides and when he had his speech, he said that when Yochan ( my husband) decided to get married to a Filipina, he was not against us blah, blah, blah but he didn't know that everybody knows that he was against me and the mouth fightings between him and Yochan lol! And my husband whispered 'liar' sitting beside me lol!
My FIL, ( I call him otousan which means Father) is an old fashioned Japanese and we respect him as the head at home. He's very strict in some way but so loving. He may not express too much in words but in gestures ( like his son lol). I love him like my real father! There was a time that he went for a visit at the apartment during our first year of marriage ( before living in with them) and he brought a watermelon with him as an omiyage (pasalubong) which was really big enough to be eaten for two. My goodness, dadalawa lang kami lol! I can'tremember kung ilang araw namin naubos yun lol! He changed a lot the time we lived with them most especially when I gave birth to his first apo, Wakaba chan.
When we have some drinking sessions at thebukid of tralala, we love to talk/ joke about the 'against thingy' and would tease him like crazy. He would just say ' sonna kotto oboetanai neeh!'
I can't recall I said something like that!' LOL!!!

Wakaba is 7!!

---The birthday girl!!---

We celebrated Wakaba's 7th birthday twice! June 5-- We went to my PIL's place before her birthday and celebrate with them in advance. We went to the mall together with my MIL and shopped summer dresses and sandals as a birthday present for Wakaba and the lucky Haruka received the same, too! Then we went to buy some sushi, hors d'ouvre and cake then held Wakaba's birthday at their home. It was a double birthday celebration coz my FIL's birthday was last June 1st but they didn't plan anything for him coz they (most especially FIL)want to share a birthday celebration together with Wakaba's birthday. My SIL and daughters Yuina and Ayana came to celebrate, too. It's been awhile that my kids cousins haven't seen each other--the last time that they played together was during the Golden Week. Ayana is now one year old and three months, she's growing up fast, too!! June 6-- Our family went to SUGO for a load of fun! Will make a separate post for that. Gees, lots of pending posts--I'll post them all one at a time^_^
June 7--We celebrated her actual birthday at home and I baked a homemade birthday cake when she's at school and happy to see her smile after granting her birthday cake request. Wakaba was pretty excited to receive a pet on her birthday--although pets ain't allowed at our apartment, we gave her a virtual pet instead. A new Tamagotchi with a promise to take care of her virtual pet only after doing her homework at school. Meanwhile, I'm the one in charge while she's at school--they're keeping me busy lol!

Mommy Moments--Unforgettable Summer

---Aquamarine Fuksuhima--

Our fave place to go every summer is at Aquamarine Fukushima. Well it is always special and unforgettable for Wakaba and Haruka because they both love marine animals and just renewed our yearly passport recently coz we love to visit there mostly twice in a month. The exhibit area includes The History of Extinction corner, Marine mammals, Oceanic Galleria, Touch Pool (wherein they can touch and observe lil creatures), the Triangular Tunnel, Goldfish Aquarium, various workshops, The World of Coelacanth, BIOBIO Kappa Village ( an open air waterside environment where paddies, streams and ponds have been recreated),etc. And after enjoying their eyes at the aquarium they would change to their swimsuit and stay at the Janome Beach wherein they can touch and observe living creatures at the mudflats, rocks and sandy beach. We love to be there because of the events and various of exhibit that keeping us from coming back again and again. Here's some of the photos of last year, summer time. Enjoy!
